60 Vehicles Undergo Free Emission Tests at Pancoran Sub-district Office

Some 60 vehicles underwent free emission tests in the courtyard of the Pancoran Sub-district office, South Jakarta, Jalan Pengadegan Timur II, Pengadegan Urban Village.

It is conducted to improve air quality

Environmental Pollution and Damage Control Section Head, Tuty Emawati stated the emission test is a routine agenda that targets operational officials and residents' vehicles.

"It is conducted to improve air quality," she expressed, Thursday (7/4).

She explained as many as 50 two and four-wheeled vehicles passed the test and 10 others failed because exhaust emissions exceeded the threshold.

"We urge those who have not passed until now to conduct routine servicing so that the exhaust gas produced does not exceed the specified figure," she explained.

One of the residents, Hendrawan (46) admitted it was the first time his vehicle emissions test had been conducted.

"It has been tested for free emissions. The results are very satisfying, my vehicle passed the emissions test because I followed the recommendations for routine servicing," he closed.
